Traditional Uses
Actions: Has digestive, antibacterial, vasodilative and hypotensive
effects, promotes food digestion and resolves accumulation, expels phlegm and
eliminates food stagnancy.
Applications: Dyspepsia, stagnancy of undigested food, stuffiness and fullness in the chest and abdomen, acid regurgitation, hernia, menorrhagia, and persistence of lochia. It is usually used in the treatment of stomach cancer and ovarian cancer.
