Traditional Uses

Actions: Benefits stomach, nourishes yin and lungs, expels heat, quenches thirst, increases white blood cells, increases stomach tonicity, and promotes peristalsis and gastric secretion to help indigestion.

 

Applications: Impairment of body fluids due to febrile disease, dry mouth, fidgets, thirst, and deficiency fever after an illness. In China it was applied in the treatment of stomach cancer, lung cancer and cancer of esophagus.
