Chinese Name: Dang Gui


Traditional Uses

Actions: Supplements blood, benefits intestines, and regulates menses, promotes metabolism, secretion, and urine excretion; has  uterus-regulating, sedative, diuretic, and antibacterial effects.

 

Applications: Headache due to deficiency of blood; chest and abdominal pain, constipation, amenorrhea, menorrhalgia, and functional bleeding. It is used in treating leukemia, breast cancer, liver cancer, and thyroid cancer in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
