Traditional Uses

Actions: Supplements the liver and kidneys, promotes blood, and clears vision; has effect on liver fat, has hypoglycemia and hypotensive effects.

 

Applications: Impairment of liver and kidney, debility of loins and knees, vertigo, excessive tearing, cough due to consumption, diabetes, and nocturnal emission. In China, it is used in the treatment of decreased white blood cell count caused by radiation and chemotherapy.
