Traditional Uses
Actions: Supplements the stomach and spleen, strengthens immune
system, replenishes qi or chi, has tonic effect on spleen, nourishes lungs, and
bone marrow, has hypoglycemic, hypotensive, and antibacterial antifungal
effects.
Applications: General impairment, dry cough, thirst, and
debility. It is used in Traditional Chinese Medicine to treat esophageal
cancer, and cervical cancer.
