Traditional Uses

Actions: Clears up noxious heat, controls bleeding, and nourishes yin and blood. Possesses cardiotonic and diuretic effect (dilate renal blood vessels), hemostatic and hypoglycemic effects.

 

Applications:  Hematemesis, epistaxis, hematochezia, functional bleeding, macula, dermal eruption, fidgets and fever, fever due to yin deficiency, sore throat, dry mouth and lips, dry stool, thirst, and hemorrhage. It is used in the treatment of caner- related symptoms: lower white blood cell and damaged immune system.
