Traditional Uses

Actions: Regulates qi or chi, strengthens spleen, regulates the intestine, has emostatic and antibacterial effects, removes excessive fluid, and transforms phlegm.

 

Applications: Turgid chest and abdomen, vomiting, diarrhea, and cough. It is traditionally used in treating stomach cancer.
